In-house capability
Manufacturing is one of our four primary departments. Holding it in-house is what makes short-notice format parts and one-off special purpose components practical rather than a scheduling problem.

We also maintain a large network of sub-contract manufacturers for overflow capacity and for processes we do not hold in-house.
Why it matters for spares
Reverse engineering an obsolete part is only useful if you can also manufacture. Because design, machining and inspection all sit on one site, a part can be measured, modelled, manufactured and verified without a hand-off between suppliers, which is usually where lead time and accuracy both get lost.
Prototyping
3D printing is used routinely for fit checks, handling components and tooling proving before committing to metal. For low-volume or development-stage work it is sometimes the production process rather than a step towards one.
