Product Handling
Conveyors, mass-flow, elevators, accumulators, down drops, orientation and diverters.
Systems
Handling is the connective element of a production line. Often overlooked as a primary capital request, it can be where a line’s true potential throughput is realised.
- Conveyors – chain, belt and vacuum based
- Mass-flow
- Elevators
- Accumulators
- Down drops
- Product orientation
- Diverters
Accumulation and line balance
The purpose of accumulation is to decouple machines so that a short stop on one does not propagate along the line. Correct sizing is important and requires knowledge of the lines typical stop-frequency and distribution of the upstream and downstream equipment.
We size accumulation against measured line data where it exists, and against conservative assumptions where it does not.
Gentle handling
For fragile or high-value product, the constraint is damage rather than speed. Handling materials, orientation, transfer and drop heights are designed around the product’s tolerance and verified during proof of application testing.
