Pouch making

A pouch product usually starts as a formulation that works by hand and has to become something that can be manufactured repeatably. That path runs from lab scale, through a pilot line, to commercial volume. The purpose of the pilot stage is to settle format, fill and sealing parameters before investing in high volume equipment.

Approach

We design and build for the progression of the project. A pilot machine is specified so that what is learnt can carry forward to the next stage. From simple format changes while the recipe is still fluid to optional multi-hopper configurations for powder and additive blending, therefore ensuring a design that can be scaled rather than one that has to be replaced.

Format

Pillow and comfort pouches are both produced. Granule, capsule and liquid insertion available where the product requires. Micro auger dosing is possible for low moisture powders and compression heat sealing or ultrasonic sealing both offered, depending on the material and finish product requirements.
