Scaling a process that works in the lab

Life sciences work usually arrives at a common point: a process that works reliably by hand, in small numbers, and now has to work at production volume without changing the result.

That transition is an engineering problem in its own right. We take it on regularly, often starting with a semi-automated cell and building towards full automation as volumes justify it, rather than committing to a full line before the product has settled.

Working at development volumes

We are comfortable building single machines and pilot cells, not only full production lines. Where volumes are expected to grow, we design for it: modular cells, spare capacity in the controls, and a route to integrating stations later without a rebuild.
