Consumable Assembly

Fully automated, semi-automated and manual assembly cells, modular and expandable as volumes grow.

Matching automation to volume

The right level of automation is a function of volume, product maturity and labour cost. We typically build at three levels and are equally comfortable recommending the least automated option where that is the most suitable.

Fully automated: continuous or indexed cells for established products at volume.

Semi-automated: operator-loaded stations with automated processing, appropriate where volumes are moderate or the product is still changing.

Manual: jigs, fixtures and workstations that make a hand-built process repeatable and measurable.

Designed to expand

Where volumes are expected to grow, we design for that from the outset:

  • Modular cell architecture
  • Spare capacity designed into the controls
  • Stations addable later without a rebuild
  • Consumable inspection and testing integrated into the cell

This matters most in life sciences and next-generation nicotine work, where a product frequently moves from development volumes to production volumes faster than a conventional capital equipment cycle allows.
